Life at CIC Waterloo

Student-Building

At CIC Waterloo, students encounter many opportunities for growth, discernment, and development during their years spent here at our welcoming campus in the Waterloo Region. It is our goal to help every student who walks through these halls to become great leaders who exhibit competence, conscientiousness, and compassion. With the support of faculty, staff, administration and the entire school community, CIC Waterloo raises students who take responsibility for their own intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth. It is the strength of our school community that empowers each student to take pride in their individuality while still discovering all the magnificent potential he or she has within. We strive to help students reflect on who they are, what a conscious society calls them to become, and how they answer His precious call and go forth with courage.

Double-Room-Residence

We challenge our students to look beyond their self-interests and rather offer themselves in service to others as agents of impact and change in society. Through day to day interactions and with awareness of and respect for the rich traditions of our school, we hope to help shape young minds who will look to find spiritual strength in all things and an inspiration to share their God-given talents for the betterment of the communities in which they will one day live, work and develop in a way that is true to our collective ideals of personal and collective growth.

Athletics

Basketball

At CIC Waterloo we believe that balance is critical to a successful education, and athletics is more than just sports. Our athletic program emphasizes the value of each individual and respect for others. We stress teamwork, work ethics, fairness, sportsmanship, personal commitment, a quest for excellence, a sense of fair play, and fun for life.

Civic and Community Education

Student-Community-Service

Courage, integrity and compassion converge powerfully on the CIC Waterloo campus, where students learn to apply the servant leadership skill many learned during their earliest lower school years. All students participate in Make a Difference Day, a continuous daily practice of service in community volunteerism. Students break into groups and spend one day each semester cleaning up trash in community parks, playgrounds, as well as volunteering in various non-profit organization across Waterloo Region.
