WELCOME TO JUNIOR MIDDLE SCHOOL AT CIC WATERLOO – GRADES 7 & 8
At Canadian Independent College, we offer a dynamic, excellent and cooperative learning environment where a student’s curiosity is stimulated, leadership skills are refined, and advanced interactive learning is meaningful and focused.
The College emphasis is on building a foundation for lifelong learning and devotion to ones dreams and inspiration. Expectations for academic achievement are set high, yet balanced with an enriched Ontario Ministry of Education approved curriculum. We combine our enriched curriculum in Mathematics, Science, Languages, Arts, Business, Humanities, and Technology with recreational athletics, music, and drama, visual arts and an exciting community and social activities.
The academic program in the Middle School allows our students to gain knowledge, skills and confidence as they approach secondary school. Our teaching staff is well-versed in teaching techniques that engage the attention of young minds, such as activity-based learning, individual education plan, group planning and debates, and an element of challenge in the classroom activities, thereby bringing learning to life for their students. Their teaching practices are geared toward recognizing the unique educational, intellectual, spiritual, and developmental needs of these middle school age students.
CIC provides excellent guidance, support and boarding for all junior middle school students in a safe and nurturing environment.
